Though summer vacation season feels long over, I hope yours was filled with joy, relaxation, and cherished moments with loved ones. As we transition into autumn, it’s time to refocus and dive back into our work with fresh inspiration.
Finding Beauty in Durability
As I reflect on my creative direction, I find myself drawn to the softer side of living. Recently, I had the pleasure of designing an apartment commissioned by a discerning client whose beloved but destructive dog had previously wreaked havoc on her home’s furnishings. Despite this, I was able to source high-performance fabrics and reimagine floor coverings that offer both luxury and resilience. This project reminded me that designing for real life doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice beauty. This project was about creating a home that is both functional and stunning, a place where the homeowner and her dog can live comfortably without worrying about damage.
A Humbling Recognition
I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been recently been named to Designers Today Magazine’s inaugural Power List, recognizing 50 top designers. It’s a true honor to be acknowledged among such talented professionals. This achievement motivates me to continue pushing the boundaries of design while staying true to my philosophy of timeless elegance.
